- 1
Submission and technical check
The editorial office checks that the files are readable, required information is present, declarations are complete, and the manuscript is within the journal’s scope.
- 2
Editorial screening
A responsible editor considers relevance, originality, clarity, research integrity, and whether the work is sufficiently developed for independent review.
- 3
Independent peer review
Research manuscripts are assessed by at least two independent reviewers with subject expertise. Reviewers consider the methods, analysis, evidence, presentation, and contribution.
- 4
Editorial decision
The responsible editor evaluates the manuscript and review reports. The decision may be accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.
- 5
Revision and final assessment
Authors respond to reviewer and editor comments in a clear point-by-point document. Revised work may be returned to reviewers when further specialist assessment is needed.
- 6
Record and publication
Accepted material is checked for complete bibliographic metadata and appropriate licensing before it is published and preserved through the IJSI Zenodo community.
Decision responsibility
Final publication decisions are made by the responsible editor. Reviewer recommendations inform but do not determine the final decision. Conflicts of interest are managed throughout the process.
Material without external review
Editorials, notices, and other items that have not undergone external peer review are clearly identified in the published record.
Authors should also read the editorial and publication policies.
